So why would someone use replication over duplication? The answer is very simple…quantity. Replication is more economical per CD or DVD, as long as you’re manufacturing quantities over 1000. The cost per dupe is significantly lower, however
delivery time is generally longer because of the processes involved.
On the other hand, if you’re looking at a run of under 1000, that’s our niche. Duplication really shines over replication here. With duplication there is a very quick turnaround, depending on your printing requirements. You could be looking at a 2 day turnaround instead of the typical 2 weeks.
There is really no difference between the content of a duplicated or replicated CD or DVD job. The data is bit-for-bit accurate in either case. The difference is in the way it’s done. As you can see, each system has advantages.
